Description

The satellite has detected an anomaly located in the area of former opencast excavations.

To our surprise, the signature of the anomaly highly resembles... a protoss pylon. For years, urban legends and rumors had circulated about the alleged presence of protoss on the planet. However, public opinion has never received any official confirmation or comment on this from the colony magistrate.

The energy of this Pylon, while far different from the ordinary energy used to power buildings and machines on the planet, can still be used for our purposes.

An ordinary industrial battery that absorbs radiation and energetic particles from the environment should be enough to absord a bit of it's almost unlimited energy reserves.

Expected weather in the mission area: Calm

  • During the charge up, zerg will be attracted to the location, slowly ramping up their threat.
  • An overlord is present during the mission, killing it would be beneficial.

Story

Mission accomplished. Our squad managed to the absorb energy from the pylon.

The pylon had an intrinsic cloaking field. The field itself it does not resemble any cloaking field known to us and has never been detected by our sensors from the beginning of the colony existence. For unknown reasons, the pylon became very unstable and this allowed Lis to detect it's position in the first place.

No protoss or other race presence was recorded. The pylon itself looks ancient, has been there for a long time, perhaps a thousand years. Perhaps it is just a forgotten ancient relic, however still activ...
