Description

Tiers are the gear quality system implemented in BDF to portray all the items, as such items have their own tiers. The difference in tiers is not just a simple upgrade of the previous tier, but a rebalanced version of the item, an example for weapons being that T4's have the greatest range while T5's have the greatest dps.

Equipment

Weapon/Armor Gear Tiers

Weapon and Armor Gears have 6 tiers, T1/T2/T3/T4/T5/T6, excluding their base variant, T0. The first 5 tiers are craftable upon finding their respective blueprints and spending research points to unlock the crafting recipes, and the last tier, T6, can't be crafted and blueprints for them don't exist, they can only be found in loot drops and at traders.

Active/Passive Gear Tiers

Active Gears have a single tier, T0, this is due to them being of one use only. The Active Gears are craftable upon finding their respective blueprints and spending research points to unlock the crafting recipes.

Passive Gears have an inconsistent amount of Tiers among the different types of equipment, as an example, Shields have 2 more Tiers than Caduceus Reactor. The T1/T2/T3/T4/T5 Passive Gears are craft able upon finding their respective blueprints and spending research points to unlock the crafting recipes, and the T6 can't be crafted and blueprints for them don't exist, they can only be found in loot drops and at traders.

T6 Variants

T6 items have a special trait which change their gameplay in comparison with their regular counterparts, albeit at times they are minor changes such as a simple increase of stats or a additional feature change that makes the equipment unique.

There are 3 types of different T6 items:

  1. Regular variants, available to everybody, they are categorized with the color orange;
  2. Community variants, available to everybody, these items are inspired by conversations of the community, they are categorized with the color green;
  3. Supporter variants, available to BDF patrons, starting in-game day 0, they are categorized with the color green;
  4. Wiki Contributor variants, available to workers on the official Wiki, starting in-game day 0, they are categorized with the color brown.
